I love this dressing. I love how it tastes, it’s drizzling consistency, and how it uses up some of my anchovy paste. Instead of one cup mayo, I did about half mayo and half sour cream. I meant to add some tarragon, maybe I will later when there’s not that much left.

Avocado green goddess dressing (AR)


  • 1 avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 5 anchovy filets, rinsed and chopped (I just used a squeeze of anchovy paste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a blender combine the avocado, mayonnaise, anchovies, green onion, lemon juice, garlic, and salt and pepper. Process until smooth, then chill for 24 hours before serving.
