Goldfish drops

This combo sounded extremely weird, so of course I had to try it! And it was really good. Not the prettiest snack ever, but Jacob and I both really liked it. I wonder if it would work if I made a bigger batch, chilled it, and cut it into squares.

1 cup butterscotch-flavored chips
1 tablespoon shortening
1 package (6 ounces) original flavor tiny fish-shaped crackers (about 3 1/2 cups)
1 cup broken pretzel sticks
1. Grease cookie sheet. Melt butterscotch chips and shortening in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth; remove from heat. Stir in crackers and pretzels until well coated.
2. Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Let stand about 1 hour or until firm. Carefully remove from cookie sheet.
